I got this little maple bowl from Scott Donley on Friday. It is SOOOOO pretty and I just love it. The finish on this one looks almost like poly--it's so smooth and looks like it's about 1/2" think. You can look very deep into the grain on this one.

Then yesterday the postman brought me this little grapefruit bowl from Brett Baldwin. I love the shape of this one.
Now the two of them are sitting side-by-side on top of my entertainment center in my living room, with places reserved for the other two pieces that are on the way (one of which may be here today :D ). Let me say that these pictures do NOT do justice to either of these pieces. It's been said before on this forum the same way--pictures just don't capture the depth and beauty of a piece. Seeing it in person is a real kick.
Thank both of you--I'm designing a new display shelf for my new "pretties" as we speak.
(Edit): By the way, the last piece (#5) that is on the way won't go on the "pretties" shelf - it will be inserted into a specially engraved champagne bottle and displayed elsewhere - what else would I do with one of Ken's bottle stoppers??
