Seems like pecan or hickory wood filler is not available in my area. Do any one of you have a suggestion on another color that you may have used in the past?

You might do better to get one of the color matching wax kits, or the Minwax pencils that the carry at the Borgs. I've been able to fill nail holes with those. The best way I've found is to apply stain or whatever oil finish you want to use, then fill the holes to match the stain, then top coat.

This item will have a clear coat on it. I just have a one cabinet that is odd shaped and need to use a few brads on some of the trim. Would like to cover them up. I have seen those color matching kits. I just hoped that someone else might have another idea/

I have also tried the glue and sawdust trick, but didn't have much luck with that. It doesn't help that I'm colorblind. I have to call my wife or daughter out to see if the crayons match the stain.
