Pecan crotch from my Parent's place. It had warped considerably after roughing and was hard as a rock when finish turning this weekend. Inclusions filled with coffee grounds/thin CA and finished with Minwax Antique oil, then buffed. 10" diameter by 4" deep.

Beautiful bowl, Travis. I like the contrast of the inclusions. Good to know you still turn things more in line with us mere mortals :p

Travis,
I like it! Interesting that you filled the inclusions the way you did. Was there anything structural about the piece that led you to make that choice or was it just preference? I think it would be excellent looking either way.:)

I do like pecan, and this one shows why. I tell people you can almost drive a nail with a pecan bowl.

Nice wood, love the shape. I've made that bowl more than a few times, and it's always a good seller.

Nice job Travis. I'd like to see what the piece looked like before you started. Very good job.:)

Mark, I just didn't care for the openings through the bark inclusions in the walls, plus the bark needed the CA for stabilization anyway.
I wouldn't doubt it Glenn! I rotated 3 sharp bowl gouges finishing it up. :(
