Anyone have any experience using these two Shapton methods? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. (BTW, my sharpening involves mainly A-2 steel.) Thanks!

I have the Pro series stones. 1000, 5000 and 8000. They are fantastic. If I repurchased, I would skip the 8000 as I seldom use it. The 5000 leaves a fantastic edge. I checked out the site and I'd like to pick up the new DRLP lapping plate. But at $489 I'll have to wait a bit!
