12" Makita from Amazon already

I placed my order 2/17 for the Makita MS w/slide and laser and light, delivered for $452, and it was delivered today. I probably won't get to set it up until Friday. Now I have to mail the rebate for the free 18v drill.

Beat ya .... I got mine yesterday. I couldn't believe how fast it was delivered either.

It's one nice miter saw.

Roy and Mike, Did you originally have an estimated delivery date of Mid March, around 16th or so? That is when mine says it will ship. Thanks, Bill

I also had an estimated delivery date of Mid March. Amazon usually sends an e-mail when they ship an item, no e-mail so far so I guess it hasn't shipped.

My original delivery was for 2/21 to 2/28, so it cam 1 day ahead of that.

Mine came yesterday also.Rebate went out today.As for Amazons shipping dates,my Paslode nails said delivery date of April 8th,they were shipped today.

I saw a design for under the miter table dust collection but can't locate it. Collection it through the slote in the miter table. Does anyone know where I can find it? Thanks, Brian

I too ordered my 12" last week and had a ship date of 3-21 to 4-17. To say the least I was disappointed. I even sent a email to Amazon asking why the delay when their site was still selling the item with delivery this week.

There response was strange but said that it was possibly because of my location to the distribution center the item would ship from.

I checked again on Monday and found out that it Shipped:eek:. It arrived today 20 days ahead of the Amazon estimate.

Was pleased when mine arrived today, well before estimated ship date, though I was in no rush. The PC7518 arrived too. Both the free drill, and $50 rebate are in the mail. Was nice to get a good deal on these two tools. Still got two cars in the shop that must be finished before the changeover commences, but I have ample storage.:D

in the market to upgrade from my 10" Makita ls1013 to a 12" I was looking at the Bosch, should I be looking at the Makita? I was under the impression the Bosch was the cats meow!

Calvin, It is the cat's meow according to many reviews. However the Makita always seems to be second with an explanation of personal preferences. If a different group of testers did the same tests the Makita would win and the Bosch would be second. IIRC the subjective preference had to do with the handle position; pretty close to splittin' hairs, eh? I'd get your hands on one of each and see what you prefer.
