Gripper tool gloat

I purchased a pair of Grippers a few weeks back but did not get around putting them to real use until today. I ripped 8 pieces of 9/16 3/4 x 30 mahogany into 16 pieces of 1/4 x 3/4 x 30 using bith Grippers hand over hand. I would never have tried this without the grippers.

I'm not sure I would use the Grippers for everything the manufacturer claims but it does a great job of ripping thin strips. I think I'll let them stay in the shop ;-)

After reading some of the posts here at SMC I picked up a couple. Very handy and very safe. I used to use push blocks that got kerfed in use and had to be redone now and again. The Grr Ripper has better grip and unless I miss, I won't have to rebuild.

I agree, they do add another ingredient to the safety recipe. I like 'em.
