A friend contacted me today and ask if I would be interested in purchasing his 20 year old F/B 18 inch planer. He said it works fine, and has the moulding and sanding heads (still new in box) with it. He does very little wood working and doesn't need this piece anymore. Price: $100.00. I have no idea what this planer is worth. I don't need another planer, but I bought it anyway. Haven't seen the unit, but trust my friend. Good deal???

A friend of mine had a 5HP 12" foley bellsaw planer. Not bad, it had rubber infeed rollers that can get hard over time and may need to be replaced. If I remember right it doesn't have a chipbreaker or pressure bar, so the cut quality would suffer a bit on thinner stock. For $100 I think it would a great deal if in working condition...joe

That's one of the best little molders out there short of the W&H. I'd say you sure nuff got a great deal. I had one of those machines years ago with the craftsman name on it and it was a dandy little machine, slow but good. Feed rollers are their weakpoint but other than that they are great machines, especially for making molding.
