I'm looking for a supplier for round hinges--the ones you mount in a Forstner bit hole, on the outside of the box. The project I'm bidding on is a quantity of boxes, and this style of hinge is about ideal for the way my shop is tooled right now. Plus I can install them fast.

Beall makes a great hinge of this style, but they don't fit in the potential customer's budget. Any ideas? I'm sure I've seen a supplier, but it was long ago when I was an actual cabinet maker instead of playing one on weekends!

Thanks!

Are you thinking about the Soss barrel hinge?

Just google it to get info on them.

Have you tried Rockler.com ? They have much hardware.

Thanks guys! No luck at Rockler. The hinges I'm looking for are mounted on the outside of the box, in a 35mm hole drilled about 1/8" deep, centered at the point where the lid and body of the box meet. Beall makes one called the "Nonpareil Round Hinge."

Beall is the only place I've ever seen them.

Woodcraft sells these:

They aren't inexpensive, though. They aren't cheap, either (I mean, they are very nicely made).
