TEE HEE.

Brrrrrr, Larders bare, Pockets are empty.

What to do? Oh redneck save me.

Well, first son you gotta gain the lil fellers confidence.

(see pic one for details)

Then pick out which one you like best.

This is how you check for weight.

(pics two and three)

Then you stick em in da fridge for later.

(pic 4)

OK, OK, Hold on...........

We ain't broke.

Here is what happened,

We get back from a hard day at the office to discover the Dog

has escaped and left the shop door open.

She escaped to next door, where her mother lives.

Well what a surprise when I walk into the shop and these Four

are quacking at the dog dish and then at me like I was Mom.

Don't let my hard case avatar fool you.

Per, you are an old softy, like a lot of us.:) I'll bet your are so kind to animals that when you wanted to cut the tail off a dog, you did it one little piece at a time.:D

Cute story. How long did it take to clean the duck droppings out of the shop?

But the normal scene at the Swenson yard,

That is when the Doggie doesn't pack her things

and run home to Mommy.

Awesome Per....reminds me of my family of Mallards that hang around our house and expect to get fed crushed corn every single day. If we don't feed them in time? They'll come up to the bay window and look inside as if to say, "ya'll gonna feed us or what?".

Beautiful pics Per.

Bet you wont be so nice to the geese when they show up for a drink! Sadly, they dont taste as good as duck (not that duck is that great).

My dad always tells me that you're supposed to cook a goose on a 2X4 then throw out the goose and eat the 2X4. He's not a big fan, lol.

They're not totally stupid. They managed to find an indoor restaurant that would serve them.:D
My next door neighbor's daughter got a Chinese Crested Duck last summer (Chuck the Duck). He's kind of goofy looking, like somebody glued a big cotton ball on top of his head, but apparently makes a good house pet. Neither their dogs or cats bother him and he wants outside to take care of potty duties. When the daughter brings her kids over to swim in my neighbors pool, Chuck often comes with and couldn't be happier with the car ride or swimming pool.

Is that a German Shorthair ahoy?

Ahh, the shorthair. I can't wait to have one again. My only shorthair was stolen from my home about 11 years ago. Since then I've acquired a Viszla and a Weimy. Needless to say, the weimy is a slug, and the viszla doesn't like temps below 60 degrees.

I can't wait for the day to add a nice male GSP to our clan. I pray for the birds!

Yet, as a qualifier, you couldn't ask for better companions as my girls (the viz and the weim) now.

Thanks Per (you old softy!). That just helped on otherwise not-so-good day! :)

Yep,

That is my sons, (and you know how that works out)

German short hair pointer.

Lets just say her basic training is not up to my standards.

So I have decided to try something different.

Get her to point at certain power and hand tools so

my son will recognize which side of the bread the butter

is applied.

Hey everybody, thanks for looking.

Oh yeah, 8 o'clock this morning there were 4 quackers quacking

at the shop door for feed. Insistent and persistent they were.

Drove the dog nuts.

Don't tell anybody I wrote this, ruin my reputation,

but the ducks are adorable.

Those ducks must have nabbed a tool or two from the shop, cuz that pointer looks pretty intent in the 2nd pic.
