I was at Lowe's this morning and the Delta 50-760 dust collector struck my eye because it was one that I normally would not see at Lowe's. Sure enough, it was a non-stock item, so I was able to walk out the door with a fully assembled, floor-model with all its parts for $249. Woo Hoo!!!:)

It's sort of Ironic since I was asking the other day whether or not to make the NYW Router Station dust collection port a full 4" - Good thing I posed the question and listened to the Creekers.

Anyway, I included the pictures and also included a picture of the router table I hope to have finished this weekend.

Now I need some good references on Dust Collection design so if you have any, please pass them along.

Thanks.

Keep your eyes out guys. People are regularly getting these from $100 - $249. A number of folks have gotten them for $149. If you run across one you may want to try to talk them down to $149.

Very nice. From the looks of the chute on your jointer, that might be the first candidate for a hook-up :P

Woo Woo! Nice score. This is the same unit I have. I bought the chip seperator trashcan lid unit and it is an excellent DC system for my shop.

Nice buy Tim!

If you haven't seen them, see the DC/Cyclone pages at www.billlpentz.com (http://www.billlpentz.com).

Also, the following sites may be of use:
Oneida's site: http://www.oneida-air.com/design/diyduct/main.htm
Air Handling Systems site: http://www.airhand.com/designing.asp

Those are the three online references I have used.

Thanks for the links.

The dust collector sure beats the shop vac. I hooked it up the jointer, ran a few boards across it and was pleased not having a big pile of shavings on the floor.

The only issue I'm having with it is that it pop's the dedicated 20 amp breaker rather frequently on startup.

I'll probably call Delta on Monday to see if they have any suggestions. I don't want to retun it because it works great outside of this issue and it was the only one they had.
