I made this cradle for my niece who is expecting this month. I built the cradle out of hard maple. It is constructed with mortise and integral tenon joinery along with a tusk tenon made of walnut holding the stretcher in tension with the uprights.
I am traveling to North Carolina tomorrow to deliver it as the baby is expected next week sometime, this will be a surprise I hope she likes it.

First thanks for all of the comments it means a lot coming from you guys.
I finished the cradle with Target USL, 5 coats followed by one coat of BriWax. It was my first time spraying the finish, prior to this I had never sprayed a project.
Thank again.
