All right!
Thanks to Mike Henderson's encouragement I purchased a vacuum veneer kit from Joe Woodworker and built the system myself. ( I will post pics soon). Now I'm working on building the cauls out of melamine board.
To cut the melamine should I invest in a specialized blade (I just have a combination blade) and if so any reccommendations? BTW Joe does a great job answering any questions you have during the process.

I use MDF for cauls and a normal blade works well. BEst. Dave.
