The infill I've been working on is finally finished. The specs are as follows:
Model: 800-238
Sole: .250 tk bronze
Sides: .187 tk bronze
Lever cap: .500 tk bronze.
Pitch: York pitch (50 degrees)
Iron: Lie_Nielsen 2.375 wide 5/32 tk with cap iron.
Infill: Walnut with dark garnet shellac french polish
Cap screw: Stainless steel
Weight: Not determined at this point estimate between 6 to 7 lbs.
Mouth: Presently set .008
My first impressions are that the plane has plenty of mass to offset the wide iron and steep pitch. The tang that mounts to the top of the rear tote allowed me to lean the tote forward a bit and it feels quite good in the hand and in the using. So far cherry and some especially difficult tiger maple heart wood have been no match for the mass of this plane, it powers right thru leaving gleaming surfaces behind. I hope you enjoy the look.
