Could this be the first Hybred table saw? Motor looks like an add-on to me.

These Craftsman saws were built by Darra-James in the late '30s and '40s Same as the # 95 D-J with a 3/4 arbor. Motor stuck out the back with two belt drive. Great saw.

It is either a model 95 or 97. I had one and it was a fine piece of machinery. The base is formed from 3/16" plate with a heavy cast iron rim on the bottom. The top was dead on and it cut really smooth. It did have trunnions like a contractor saw, but the arbor assembly was far heavier than even my PM66.

Thanks for sharing the PICs. I never would have guessed the age correctly. They really haven't changed all that much at all.
