There is someone local selling a Home Master Lathe 12 x 40 and 30 Lathe Chisels for 300 bucks. I already have a lathe but was interested in the chisels. They will not part with them separately so on a whim I asked if any of the chisels were HSS. They have responded that some are (I have not visually verifies this). So I am thinking that if the lathe is in decent shape and at least half of the chisels are HSS it might be worth looking into (probably not 300 but maybe I can talk them down). Unfortunately I cannot find out what a Home Master Lathe is. Has anyone heard of one of these. I am thinking they are wrong on the name and they gave a model number of KWL-6. I can't find anything on Google so I figured I would turn to the experts.

Too much to gamble.

A set of 8 pc HSS Harbor Freight set is only under $37 before coupon.

Yea I know. I already have the HF set but was thinking if there was a couple of bowl gouges might be worth it.
