Can anyone point me in the right direction for a set of plans for a Drill Press table? Actually all I need is a picture or two to get ideas of features I can incorporate.

I've always liked this one. Plan to build one when I upgrade my DP.

They are at woodpeck.com. I happen to be in the same process and have looked at quite a few of these. Easy enough but nice to have the extra input of a picture. I didn't have a replaceable insert on my last drill press's table. One idea picked up from one of the magazines- if you will ever use a drum sanding "bit" or attachment make the table insert large enough to accomodate a hole the size of the sanding drum so you can lower it down just a little below table height. A no brainer but I may not have thought of it until I was ready to sand.

Anyhow I ordered the low profile fence with T track. From the menu at left after you get the the Woodpecker Home page by using address woodpeck.com select Accessories then Low Profile Track Fence. Looked like just what I needed, 32" fence with adjustable steel scale for $16.

Back at the home page you can select Drill Press Tables then select the Quick Stop- LP drill press table. It is representative of the Cadillac tables being offerred here and there. I won't be buying the table of course but I really liked the little quick stop devices they offer individually as you scroll down. There is one that flips up out of the way when not in use for $13.95 and a plain jane stop for $2.95. I thought the flip ups were cool but too pricey last time I ordered. I got an eclub ad from woodpecker advertising them for $9.95 a couple days ago so I broke down and ordered a couple. They on on sale though Fri 2-16, you just enter code FS4 under coupons when you check out. Have no idea if you'd want one but info not on web page.

Mine will be simple, I don't need the fence to move from side to side. My baltic birch is calling now. Good luck, have fun.

One feature I saw somewhere, make the replaceable insert a circle rather than a square, you get much more use out of it that way, just move to the next clear spot, instead of a full 90 degrees.

Here's a few pictures of one I made last weekend. It has the offset circular inset.
