I need to probe the depths of the creek...
this drill press as come up for sale in my area, I'm impatient and was hoping you guys might be able to ID it and tell me what you think it's worth...

Some Taiwanese machine sold under one of any number of names would be my bet. If it's all there, and there's nothing seriously broken I'd pay about 1/3 of what a new one would cost. Your mileage may vary.

Ah, there they are. No doubt; operator error on my part. The machine doesn't jive with anything I'm familiar with. Bearing in mind the short 12" units that are available brand new for not much dough, I'd be stingy.

from what i've gathered from phone conversations, a decent table comes w/ the press attached. On the phone I got him talked down the $40. Should I give it a shot?
