Well, almost. The doors need a coat of poly and then it can go to it's new owner.
Thanks for taking a peek
Julie :D

Beautiful job, Julie! That's a very attractive cabinet...the new owner had better be darn proud of that one! (As should the builder... :D)

I like the bevels on the inside and outside of the panels. A very nice touch to make the cabinet just as nice open as closed. Was that cut with a tablesaw?

Yes, they were cut on the table saw. I think it was in a receint issue of "Wood" mag.

Looks good Julie! What kind of wood is that - ash or oak? And, what type of construction did you use for the doors? The grain direction on the inside of the doors is different from the front. Are they 1/2 lap?

Todd.

Nice looking work Julie. I also like the effect on the doors being raised on both sides. Are the sides solid or ply?

Excellent job Julie!!!! ;)

Now....tell me a little about it. What kind of wood did you use and what method did you use for making the doors? What finish did you apply? Looks really good.....Thanks for sharing.

It's made out of Oak, the legs, door panels , door frame and face frame are all solid oak. the sides, top, bottom and shelve are oak plywood. The door frames are 1/2 lap. The doors were made on the table saw. The article is in wood mag March 2003, #147.
Watco golden oak and topped with minwax poly.

I think that is everyone's answers. Thanks for your kind words and questions. This is the first real piece I've made. I just usually putter around in the shop.. Thanks Again :D
