I was at Rockler last Saturday and they had the Performax 16-32 $100 off plus a $25 gift card. Plus I had some money from lumber sales. So I couldn't pass it up. Should be great for doing veneers, panels, anything I resaw to get to a consistent thickness with smooth surfaces.

Two-thirds of the assembly time was the stand. Only real problem was having to enlarge the holes in the stand to get them to line up with the base of the unit. Seems like this is true for most of their units. Otherwise, it worked great right out of the box. The head seems to be chanted about 0.005" so the outside is higher than the inside for doing up 32" panels. Bottom belts was tensioned properly and tracked great. I think this will be a very useful machine.

John:

Congrats on your 16-32. You'll find a lot of good uses for it, I know I do.
