I visited Woodcraft today. They have the new Jet 1220 on the floor, listed at $299, alongside the new Jet mini 1014 with the indexing head and work light for $199. The 1220 looked appreciably bulkier than the 1014 and comes with a 3/4 hp motor.
The 1220 might be a nice option at this price. The salesman was a little non-commital on the 1220 because apparently he had not had an opportunity to use it yet and he has really liked the 1014.
