View Full Version : Vacuum Adapter Help!

After blowing up three bowls in the basement working on the bottoms, I thought, why not try to hook up the vacuum pump you have in the garage.

My problem is, the Maxi is a different size so my Oneway Vacuum adapter won't fit. The Maxi is a .75 with threads and the chrome thing in the pict below is called the flywheel and if I remove it, the spindle comes loose.

Am I better off looking for something to fit in the flywheel or do something else?

Pete, I think the E-Z Adapter is the simplest solution.

A spare 3/8" threaded lamp rod cut to size and it's easy to switch it to another lathe.
