being new to this would you be able to tell me if I would be better off making a miter jig for my ts...or using a miter saw to cut the miters needed.....TIA

I have both approaches in my shop -- a Hitachi C10FS miter saw, and a shop-built cutoff sled for the table saw. The cutoff sled has both left and right 45 degree miters on it. I use the cutoff sled. In fact, the miter saw pretty much only gets used off-site, because it is more portable than my Unisaw.

I think I will try building a sled today and try my luck at cutting some picture frames...thanks again for the quick replies
