Siberian Elm goblet with interlocked captive rings. It's dyed with some blue artisan dye on the base and stem and fading into the cup. I left the rings the natural wood color. It's about 6.75" tall by just under 2" diameter.

Beautiful job Curt!
I love the goblets you have been making, they have a lot of detail in the stem and it adds a lot to your pieces.
Keep em coming!

I like it a lot Curt, the dye on the stem and base gives it a look resembling metal. Great work.

Curt - Man that is Artful!

Really like the overall form of your goblets and the detail on the stem. Love the way you faded the dye from the base to the bottom of the cup. Very nice work!

I look forward to your next post!

Thanks everyone. I've tried the dye on two pieces so far that have both been very open grained, pourous woods...elm and oak. Seeing Keith Burns' dyed pieces is what made me want to try this but I've got a long way to go to get close to the great color he gets.

Curt ......while your goblets are definitely art....you've taken them to a science! Well done!

Your choice to fade the dye away toward the top is so appealing, I can't think of the words to say. Wonderful piece Curt.:)

Curt, I really like the transition between the dyed and "natural" areas. Superbly done. You really have the goblet thing down!
