I could use some help. I have a small shop and would like a bandsaw to add to tool collection.
My question is are benchtop saws have enough hp for curve cutting. I don't think I'll be doing much resawing and don't have room for a big saw :o
Any advice greatly appreciated

Tom,
I have the new craftsman 10" benchtop bandsaw, and i think it is great. I recently put on a 1/8" blade to cut some curves and it did fine. I was cutting a 1 1/4" block of pine, so it wasn't a hardwood. I think its 1/3 HP and has the roller guides, which i thought was a nice feature. I dont know how long you want to wait but if i get out to the garage this weekend i'll make some cuts in scraps and let you know how it goes.

Does the 10" refer to how wide of a piece you can cut? So you could cut a 20" board in half?

No 10" refers to the size of the wheel diameter of bandsaw. Drew yes I can wait let me know
