Looking for companies on or near the East Coast that make raise panel doors for kitchen cabs. Also, drawer fronts and dovetail draw boxes.

I did a search and the threads list ones on the West Coast.

Looking to fast-tract a kitchen job, so willing to sub out to the large specialized companies who supply these parts.

Thanks again!
Peter

Not a clue but a post over at woodweb should find you lots. It is mostly manufactures, etc on that list.

www.portadoor.com (http://www.portadoor.com). Have used them in the past, no complaints. Located in CT I believe.

Due to tooling issues at the time, I had a local (custom) cabinet maker build the "fronts" for my kitchen cabinets, and I built the boxes. He provided some of the same wood for me to use in face frames. I finished the whole shebang when I had all the pieces together. My experience was that this was less expensive than a "factory" job, and I think at least as quick.

I've used Conestoga Wood Specialties for years. They also have an expedite program...for an added charge they will rush the order if your in a hurry for any reason. They have a fabulous finishing dept. too. You can buy the doors ready to hang right out of the box.:)

Plus everything is guaranteed. If a door warpes or cracks..."hey send me a new door".;)

Keystone is who I've used for drawer boxes and they also do very nice doors. They prefer to do business only with professionals, but will work with "serious" hobbiests/HI folks if you can prove you are as such.

Thanks guys.... I am checking each one out.

Some I found are geared towards full time cabinet makers only.

I did try google and for some odd reason did not come up with the listing if I click on the link for a search. ODD....

This will help me greatly.

On another note. I got some recent pricing on some pre-finish plywood.
¾” birch finished 2 sides @ $81.00 ea.
½” birch finished 2 sides @ $68.75 ea.
Maple unfinished prices are as follows ¾”A-1 domestic $83.95 ea. ½” $70.08 ea. & ¼” $41.75 ea.

Does this sound real high? it's been about 2 years since I bought pre-finish, mainly doing it myself. Also, my old source is no longer around. Sad, been around for years....big box stores did help their biz.

Thanks for the links

Typically, what does it require to "prove" that you are a professional? A business card? Having a tax ID number? A commercially-zoned location? A good gift-of-gab?

A1 birch is about 65 bucks local here without finish.

I would say that isn't a bad price but I haven't ever priced it as I need to order a lot for anyone here to get it in.
