Finally now that my new lathe is in I was able to finish this batch of Freedom Pens (ShopSmith was shaking itself apart and I had to stop). I’ve felt bad that things were started so long ago, but the day after the lathe came I started working. From left to right: 1&2 aromatic cedar, 3&4ossage orange, 5 iforgetwood, 6,7&8 maple from a tree limb that hit my house over the summer, 9 lacewood , and spalted maple round out #10. All were MM to 3600 most have a CA finish and then all have HUT pen polish satin and gloss. Hopefully when it gets a bit warmer out in the shop I can start knocking these out on a more regular basis (not 10 every 6 months!).
