Finally now that my new lathe is in I was able to finish this batch of Freedom Pens (ShopSmith was shaking itself apart and I had to stop). I’ve felt bad that things were started so long ago, but the day after the lathe came I started working. From left to right: 1&2 aromatic cedar, 3&4ossage orange, 5 iforgetwood, 6,7&8 maple from a tree limb that hit my house over the summer, 9 lacewood , and spalted maple round out #10. All were MM to 3600 most have a CA finish and then all have HUT pen polish satin and gloss. Hopefully when it gets a bit warmer out in the shop I can start knocking these out on a more regular basis (not 10 every 6 months!).

Nice work Wayne,

I spent some time this weekend prepping pen blanks for a Freedom Pen Demonstration I have planned for next month.

By the way the FPP is alive and well, we are receiving and shippping pens almost every week. Our inventory is down to about one thousand pens and they will go quick with requests coming in weekly for 150 to 350 pens per unit.

Keep on Turnin them pens...........
