Hy,

First of all, sorry for my bad english.
Im verrrrrry new in laser cutting and engraving.
My name is Alexandru Cristal, i'm a young architect from Romania (Europe.. :) ).We make architectural models for building investors. This is our website: www.spotdesign.ro (http://www.spotdesign.ro/)
All of our models are made from acrylic cast or extruded. 2mm , 3mm and 5mm . (mainly cast)
We just got an Epilog Laser system: the HELIX 45 W, with the air assist. Can you help me with some settings for the laser, cutting speeds, power, etc.
I need this settings also for balsa, cardboard, paper, etc...
Tenx for any info that you can give me guys in advance.:)
Untill now we worked with a firm that had a laser... i don't know whatt type

The suggested settings should be in a chart in your user manual.

I have a 45 watt Epilog Legend so it may be different, but try this:

2mm: 100 Power, 25 speed, 5000 freq
3mm: 100 power, 15 speed, 5000 freq
5mm: 100 power, 6 speed, 5000 freq

Balsa and paper thicknesses vary it but for card stock I use 20 power, 30 speed, 500 freg.
