I am in the process of moving to Utah so I have a little time away from the shop to post some pictures of projects I did last year. Following is one of my favorites that I did for an interior decorator. She provided a picture from a magazine...

...I made some modifications such as changing the radius of the three upper arches to all be the same radius. That way I only had to make one jig for the molding instead of two jigs. I drew up the plans using TurboCad...

...and built the cabinet for her. It is made from Poplar and hand painted with paint she provided.

There are more pictures of the cabinet on the gallery page of my website if you are interested in seeing more of it.

Looks very nice. Did you use a migic molder on the top molding?

Chris, very pretty! Was the glass difficult to cut?

Thanks! I didn't cut the glass myself. I had a local glass shop do it for me.

No, I didn't use a magic molder. Actually, I have never heard of one. I bandsawed the curves, smoothed them with a drum sander and used homemade jigs to hold it in the router.

I just did a search for one of these. I don't have a shaper but this would have been handy to have. I'll have to put it on my wish list.
