I have a Woodfast lathe that I bought from Craft Supplies USA several years ago. It's a great lathe, but I'm now wishing I had a longer bed. Are any of you aware of a source for bed extensions for these lathes?

Mike,

I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know what the model number is. It is the one that Craft Supplies used in its classrooms until Woodfast discontinued production.

Well you might get lucky if Rikon copied the Woodfast well enough

I have no idea if it will really fit but it would be the first thing I would look at.
Other wise I understand that Woodfast has reintroduces the Model 910 in Australia so you may want to check that out.

Us Woodfast owner need to stick together, we are definately the minority.

David, if you're handy at all with metal and welding you can build an extension. A friend of mine extended his Grizzly using some heavy channel iron for the ways and two sets of legs for support. It bolts to the end of his lathe. I think he has it extended to either 8' or 10' and uses it to turn logs for log furniture.
