Hi, any suggestion on the masking to use for lasering and where to get it. Sorry if I've already asked this. I tried to find where I asked it at and can't

In the sign shop terminology it's known as transfer tape,
or Application Tape. Common manufacturers are R-Tape, TransferRite, Main tape.

Try this if you have no local sign supply:

www.denversignsupply.com/ (http://www.denversupply.com/)

Click Appl. Tapes on the left drop-down.

Would this masking be the same I could use on my brass? Thinking if I tape the brass with the masking tape, laser through the tape, SAND BLAST, cermark, then laser, then remove remaining masking tape that basically was a template for the sand blasting???

See my other post for what I'm trying to do...

Thanks!

No, they sell it at the same places but what you need is a thicker, rubber mask that can withstand the force of the sand hitting the brass. This stuff might work for glass but not brass. Look for Anchor brand sandblast stencil.
