I don't think I did that bad and after this set I realize that I need to plan a them a bit more carefully and I think they will be right on... I had a bit of blowout when I was cleaning up the ends as you might be able to see. But I am very happy with my very first set...:D Here are the pics and for Jim Becker I included one of those chisels I glaoted about a while back...:p

Tom,
That is great for your first or hundreth! Scribe the baseline a 32nd over the thickness so they project through...Try a hard wood like maple or walnut ....there is a bit of difference.... Excellent work! Keep up the practice

Thank you for your comments. I have a long way to go but I am going to try some in oak before the weekend and then try a small box. Alan I will bring in some for you to look at the next meeting. :D

Nice job, Tom! Nice tools, too...which reminds me that since I'm currently table-saw-less, I should spend some time doing a little sharpening to be ready for the upcoming projects! Funny thing about these darn tail-less tools...one starts to use them more and more...

Excellent dovetails. May I ask what is the structure that you display them on i.e. pegboard back with what looks like an all-wood clamp/vice?

Brian-

I used my son's little workbench to take the pictures on...LOL just the right size, and start him early...he is only 4 and I am trying to keep him involved as much as possible...
