Thank you for posting the Bessy sale info.
Couldn't resist, can't pass up a 'deal' , so I ordered some of the Besseys (large cabinet door sets , 31"s and 50"s). Some of the clamps arrived today. Actually I got a somewhat frantic call from my wife telling me that UPS is delivering 12 huge boxes.
Apparently, the shipping department of Amazon is in dire need of help. Each clamp was shipped in a separate box measuring 44"x10"x10" !! I am curious how Amazon will ship the 50" clamps and the door sets.
Then again, Amazon had some negative feedback regarding shipping of clamps. Well, they did take care of it! Good thing that shipping and handling was included.

I got the Bessy 2x24 2 x48 set for $100 a short time ago on amazon.

Jet has their equivalent set on sale for the same.

Harbor frieght has the import 24" on sale for $20.

Love the parrallel clamps.

Sorry. I saw them recently online but I dont remember where. I see Amazon has them for 160. They seem to be a little more utilitarian with the built in feet. I thought was a great price and was tempted even though I already have 8 Bessey/Pittsburg clamps.

I'm glad that this post helped so many here. BTW --- I didn't have the cash in my budget, so I missed out. I thnk most of the clamps have beensold out. On the Jet clamps, I have heard that some like them better than the Bessys.

Matt: Rockler has the Jet kit on sale for $99.99. It's not on the net. It's a retail store price. If you call the catalogue (800-279-4441) they should honor it for you.

At the Woodworking Show in Atlanta, the Jet clamps were available from Rockler for $89 and they also had a $5 coupon. I picked up a couple of sets and they are pretty nice. They have a trigger quick release mechanism that works pretty well.

I am enjoying this site. Have not made any worthwhile posts but since clamps are the subject.... A buddy an I just attended the Tool show in Atlanta Saturday and he purchased the Bessey set 2-24" 2-40" with set up blocks.
As we finished checking all the booths on the back wall was Jet clamp kits. Don't cry :) $89.00 + tax. My buddy went back and got credit for his purchase $109.00 Bessey and we both lugged our Jet sets to the wagon.
Never thought I be in the "Jet set":D

Parallel clamp kit includes two 24" parallel clamps, two 40" parallel clamps and one 4-pack of framing blocks.Look for a show and check this out.
