I need a good source for a blower/motor/impeller setup to mount to my ebay cyclone. I want something that at least has a 14 inch impeller. I have a small shop and it is not going to take much to run it. I see where penn state has a 2hp 14inch impeller combo but I thought it was a little to high. Does anybody have and experience with penn state blowers and motors. I've seen clear vue and thought about that motor impeller and housing setup but that would set me back alot of money also. Any suggestions. I have a shop fox 12 inch impeller and housing of off a 2hp bag collector but I need a motor for it. The impeller has a a 3/4 shaft and that is hard to find. Do any of you think this 12 inch 8 fin impeller through a cyclone will run a small shop with 6 inch runs and exhausting outside

I've heard of guys buying parts from the JET 1900 DC. Which has a 3 HP motor and a 14" motor. You will most likely also need the housing for the 14" impeller, unless you make your own.

Hello Trey, and welcome to the creek. Do stop by often and wade in.:)

I built my cyclone from a kit designed by Bill Pentz. If bought my motor and impeller from:

Motor - Electric Motor Warehouse (http://www.electricmotorwarehouse.com/120554.htm). The motor has the proper mounting for a blower housing.

Impeller - Sheldon Engineering (http://www.sheldonsengineering.com/BillPUS.html). At the time I bought my impeller, only the material handling type was available. I see that they now offer two types of air-foil impellers in addition to the original.

Check out ClearVue. They sell all parts for cyclones. I've built their CV1400 based on a Leeson 5hp motor. Believe me, this thing really sucks!
