Hi Everyone,
I've been lurking, or should I say drooling on this forum over the past six months at all the shop builds; so I thought I might as well introduce my self:). As you can see my name is Phil and I'm from Liverpool, England. I've been into WW for about three years now, since I built my workshop. It is ony 13x7 miniscule by the standard of the shops I have seen on this site, but it is the biggest I could get away with. Here is a pic. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid208/pc8ffc05ee298de392336523ce12a2af4/ee7babac.jpg

anyway I get away with building what I need, as they say you have to cut your cloth to suit:) . Here are a few pics of the interior http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid223/p830afb70e7ea2f31bb265c324d808a5e/eaf76157.jpg

My cat was doing a tour of inspection. Thanks for looking and keep posting the pics of your workshops.

Welcome Phil.

Looks like your shop is a very well thought out use of available space. Nice and neat too.

Phil,

Welcome to SMC. My wife would enjoy the pic of your feline assessing his/her new territory. Our cat is also black and likes to flop down in the sawdust on my basement floor.

One nice thing about a shop the size of yours is that you are pretty much forced to keep it neat and tidy, otherwise you can't move in it. For those of us who are organizationally challenged (big words for messy ), a small shop might be a reallty good idea. Looks like you have a nice setup - enjoy your time out there.

I'm curious - what sort of temperature ranges do you have to deal with there?

Hey Phil:

Excellent use of space..........it's not about the size of the shop, it's about what get's made.

If you think about building like you've thought about your space.....I can't waite for results.

Is that Edward Barnsley I see poking over the fence??:)

Welcome Phil,

I spent a week in England last summer and know the space limitations that most folks have to deal with. A few years ago I built an 8' dinghy for my sailboat in a shop very similar in size. No problem building, big problems getting it out. So, keep at it and don't forget to post some of your projects.

Thanks for making me welcome guys much appreciated. Rob our average temperatures are -1 in the winter to whatever in the summer, last year it got up to 95. Here are a few more pics of the workshophttp://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid223/pa315904ebedaf77f19cbc44652c24e45/eaf6db00.jpg

The heater keeps it warm in the winter

Here is a pic of the first project that I made, it's made from Sapele but the top is only sapele veneered MDF. Just one leg of the table cost about $5 http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid210/p7b9a8af529696794239164b0b52bd4ce/edad30a3.jpg
