Hi All,
Anybody have any ideas on making adjustable wooden folding legs for a folding Table saw Outfeed table? The table is already attached, just need the legs.
Thanks,
Dick

By "adjustable," do you mean compensating for the unevenness of the shop floor? If yes, use levelers like these (http://www.leevalley.com/hardware/page.aspx?c=2&p=40041&cat=3,40993,41283&ap=1).

If you mean "foldable," get a set of Folding Leg Brackets (http://www.leevalley.com/hardware/page.aspx?c=2&p=40035&cat=3,43586).

I use all of them for my TS outfeed table (http://new.photos.yahoo.com/hoa_dinh@sbcglobal.net/album/576460762322157257).

These are what I used (suggested by someone else) and are very pleased with them so far. Delivery was very prompt.

When I built mine I used hardware from Rockler. Their "Folding Leg Bracket" (#39505) works great and hold the leg locked in either the up or down position. At the end of each leg I used their "Screw-On Teenuts" (#68379). Into these I just used a 5/16" bolt with a jam nut next to the teenut to keep it from vibrating. Anytime I need to move the saw and re-level the legs I just loosen the jam nuts and twist the bolt until I'm level.

Made my legs in two pieces with a slot in one and two through bolts in the other. The piece with the slot slides and is locked in place with the bolts and wing nuts. Works well to even the table on a less than even floor. I put a swivel caster on the bottom of the legs since I work in one side of a two car garage and often need to turn the saw. The folding leg brackets were used and I have been less than satisfied with them in this application. When I move the saw the legs does not stay perpendicular. I don't mean this as a knock on the bracket. It does what it was intended to do just not what I wanted. I do like the easy adjustment of the legs.

Dick,

Here's another way to approach this issue.

In this case the legs supporting the table don't touch the floor. It's worked quite well for me.

Thanks guys for the answers, seems like the SMC police deleted the links?
Trying to get some information seems like a lost cause sometimes.
Thanks, Dick

The deleted link may have been to something similar to what I did, the legs go down diagonally to the mobile base of the saw.

Several pics are on the link below, and here is one pic:

Apologize, didn't realize we couldn't post links.
Dick, the link I tried to show was for aluminum adjustable Patio door locking bars. They come with attached swivel brackets(to attach to your top) and U-clip brackets to lock the "legs" in when you fold them up and adjust from 20"+/- to 40"+/-. If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you the link. $7.00 a piece. I'm at work for another week, so I can't post a pic.
