My son is very intersted in wood working. While he can't use the powertools yet, I thought it would be fun to make him some small toys. He could help assemble them and paint them. I saw some small toy cars and trucks in some magazines. But the plans were $12 - $15. Does anyone know of some free and simple plans? I saw a rubber band power boat that look fun too.

My son is almost 2.5, so he still appreciates simplicity, and so do I!

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Luke

Hi Luke,

Here's a link to some free plans on the web...I haven't been through them all, but you may find something of interest.

See if you can find Richard Starr's book, wookworking with kids. There are alot of nice books with simple toy plans.
