I got in on a wood exchange at another forum and this is the piece I received.
This Burl has a lot of character you can turn it a little and it gives you a totally different view of grain patterns, voids, worm holes and curl each time. I just love working with pieces like this!
Sorry for so many pics but this piece can't be seen with just a few.
It measures 7 3/4 ” wide X 4” tall.
Buffed antique oil finish.

It still amazes me what people can see in a raw piece of wood. You seem to have got the maximum out of this one!

Wow! Once again you create a hollow form that is above and beyond! Beautiful wood and your finish highlights the flaws brings out the charactor. Each photo looks like a different HF - very, very nicely done!

Mr. Ketron scores again! From the looks of this one seems it could have caused a few tense moments while on the lathe great job Jim.

Ahhh, Jim. Need I remind you? You're at the Creek, fer cryin' out loud! You're apologizing for too many pics????  You been into Andy's Moxie or what? :D

Beautiful piece, Jim! I daresay that, in my hands, it would've most likely ended up in way too many pieces, especially when hitting those voids. Great control, beautiful form and finish is A-1, as usual! :) Thanks for sharing! :)

Beautiful piece! I would sure love to see some pictures of the inside of your house. You must have an art museum there.
