I see a lot of posts here about folks trying to get a straight edge or square a panel that exceeds their TS capacity. I haven't stepped up to a guided system yet and when I do the very next thing I'll need is a "real" circular saw which I don't have.
A scrap of material ripped on the TS to assure a straight edge laminated to a thinner piece of scrap is the standard solution. This combined with a router and a spiral bit and a well tuned framing square for marking worked well for me. Hope this shows or reassures others that there is a way to accomplish your goal. What you need is probably right there in the gara... er, shop.
