The hollow form from a chunk of crotch and is 10-1/2" x 6-3/4", antique oil finish. As is obvious, I burned around the rim and also around the void/opening. The inside is natural, even thought it looks painted/dyed black.

The NE bowl is 14-1/2" x 12" x 5-1/2". It also has an antique oil finish.

Beautifully done! I especially like the profile of the NE. I hope I can keep the bark intact like that on my next one.

I think it's funny Mark...You and I started about the same time...but your work is so superior to mine. Can we trade places? There's got to be something in the water down thar.

Beautiful work sir!!:)

As usual Mark - outstanding work!

Love the hollow form - the grain jumps out at you! Beautiful finish!

Natural edge bowl has a nice flow to it's design - amazed you managed to keep all the bark in place! Again, beautiful finish!

Don't wait so long before posting again - was starting to wonder if you were OK....

A couple of beautiful pieces Mark. The grain on the HF is sweeeeeet. I should be coming into some cherry this winter - hope I can do it justice like you've done here.
Great job.
