Leigh dovetail jig question.

Does anyone else have a problem reading the scale settings on the newer Leigh dovetail jigs. I have been using 1258R for years. I updated the scales on it several years ago. I do not have any problem reading those.
The newer scales have a matt finish.

I have no problem reading the scales, Chris. My D4 is almost 3 years old now.

Attached is a picture of the new scale (top) & old scale (bottom).
The camera angle is straight down & centered between the scales.

paint the arm bar flat black. Before the paint is fully hard take an exacto knife to the score mark to strip the paint from it.

That'll make it stand out.

Problem solved. I called Leigh & told Barry about my problem. He asked if the protective film had been removed. :o I removed the film & they are now just like the old ones :o :o :o. I said I must have over looked that in the manual. He said it is not in the manual & that the film should have been removed at the factory. :D
