I was out of line in my reply to a John S. post today --- I have since deleted that post. My Apologies

Could you repost it just for a little while so I can see what you lined yourself out about?

Actually, you're a good man Ken! Thanks for the correction.

but just in case, I was. I was just trying to lighten a serious note just a touch without minimizing your comment.

I like the cheap shot you took at me. Please don't delete that.
Even I think it's a dumb idea. I don't think there is a sensible way to cover a concrete floor. The horse mats make some sense, a good heating system and warm shoes would round it out. <p>

horse mats on my small floor area. Some of my tools are laid out at an angle and that made for some angled pieces to really cover the standing areas. It also makes it tough to move stationary tools very much. The mats I got have square ribs about 1/2" square so you'd need fairly decent size rollers to move on it.

Those things really save the back and knees too!

If I'd have thought that thread would cause this much commotion, I'd have retracted it immediately! Whether it was a dumb question or not, I believe I got some very valid answers and suggestions. Like I said, I'm willing to try several and, if this whole "new shop" thing comes to fruition, I will. Then, I'll go ahead and report back my results, hopefully with comparisons.

As for the horseplay in between posts, let's lighten up. I've been hangin' around with many of these folks on the Pond over the last year or so and have never seen *any* indication of maliciousness or ill-will. I think I'll take the liberty of speaking for all those involved, "We're just *GOOFIN' AROUND*!" I for one can stand to take some ribbin' from time to time. Heck, I've usually got it comin'! LOML always has the heartiest laughs when they're at *my* expense. Heck, if that's the price I need to pay to give other some pleasure, have at it!

Ken, if you're looking for an apology, fo-get it! No harm done, so personally, I don't think you need to apologize. JMHO but that's where I'm at with it.

And, FWIW, "Step 1" of the "new shop" is complete. Yup, we put in an offer a couple evenings ago, the sellers countered yesterday evening, we countered their "counter" and today we got word that they *ACCEPTED*!!!! Whew! Talk about being stoked. Now it's on to getting this place more presentable for sale, so that this whole thing happens. Wish us luck!:D :D

I thought your post was fine. It was the response that John S. made that kinda got my dander up for a minute or two. No apology expected. I always thought my skin was really thick -- but I guess in my old age it is getting fragile.

Ken, of course I am sad to see the demise of the Pond and am grateful for places like Sawmill Creek to go to when the Pond closes. I appreciate your enthusiasm and helpful hints regarding the Creek, and you have been helpful in generating interest and notice for the Creek. Doesn't hurt a bit.

I read almost every one of your posts. Please keep it up!

for the heart. And everyone knows what "Thin Skinned Ken's" heart is in need of a little boost here and there. :)

What do you mean by "no malicious intent by Ponders"? Of course we do! I mean Ken and Terry and Bob and Dennis and everyone but me has malicious intent.:D

I resemble that remark!! :D

Just exactly what does malicious mean, anyway? ;)

going to read this post. It was a slip of the finger. I think I meant ROD! Yeah, that's it! Nope! Rod is meaner than you are, so I better say I just wasn't paying attention when I unexpectedly hit those three keys.
