High Speed Bandsaw Blade Selection

If you have a bandsaw (Moak 36) with a blade speed of just over 8000 fpm, what would be a good blade selection for wide resawing in cherry?

When a particular saw's speed is on the high side, does that change the blade requirements?

For example: Do high speed saws perform better with fewer TPI blades or does this make any difference?

You might also try the Old Woodworking Machines forum. Lots of folks over there with ships saws and other big machines. You might also call Constitution Saw at 800-444-8041. The guy there has an encyclopedic knowledge of band saw blades. He's in Connecticut, but ships everywhere I believe.
