Hello all,

Just thought I would post a project I have only shown to 6 people up until this point in time. I made a table for my friend's new baby boy born in September. I made it from maple, bubinga, and it has a curly maple drawer front. I was lucky and got the table done 1 day prior to his arrival. I got pressed for time and my wife helped with putting the finish on this piece.
Nothing fancy on the jointery, except hand cut dovetails on the drawer. In one picture you can see the blanket chest I made formy sister in law a couple months ago.
Thanks for looking.

Michael, that's really great! A wonderful gift, too.

Are the strips on the inside to support a bin?

Hi Jim,

No they are just for decoration. They actually cover a scratch on the inside on the left hand side. So I had to add one on the right. The scratch went too far down to sand out. It was a shame, but we do what we can.

LOL! Here I thought it was for a sliding bin to hold the diapers or something...
