Tropical Pens and a couple bowls

Here are a couple pens made from those new Tropical materials that Arizona Silhouette, Woodcraft, and others are marketing.

They turn great, just like any other acrylic. Just be careful not to go too deep. I found that these turned down to the bushings without any trouble at all. No finish, just wet sanded to 12000.

They also offer a Mother of Pearl, and White coconut version. They're nice, too.

Here are two bowls. One a big figured bubinga 12x4, and an ambrosia maple 9x2.5.

Excellent work Adam. I saw the prototypes for those pen blanks at Berea Hardwoods when they were trying to work out the problem of thickness. Looks like they got it worked out!

The bowls are great! Love that Ambrosia Maple....amazing what bug do-do will do!:D :)
