I know that this is probably not an easy thing to explain in writing, but I will post anyway.

I have a Jet 6" closed base jointer. The infeed and outfeed tables are not coplaner. I have not been successful in finding how to adjust their parallelism in the manual. Is there an on-line document somewhere that might help me out?

Thanks.

I'm sure you'll find help here. Make and model would help.

This looks to be a recent model machine with a wedgebed design. As such, the original machining is most likely fine and no shimming or heroics should be necessary to make the tables coplanar. Most likely the gib screws are too loose. Take a look at page 15 of the manual at:

Be careful not to overtighten the screws as this can lead to cracking in the ways.

If careful tightening of the gibs doesn't fix it, it's likely that there's sawdust and gunk built up in the ways near the cutterhead, which will require you to slide the tables out and clean everything. There are several schools of thought on what lubricant to use. I like wax/teflon bike lube, but oil works fine too.
