I recently purchased a used sawdust collector. It was used as a dust collector in the shoe industry and seemed to be big enough for my needs, 1 1/2 HP, 12" twelve blade impellar and a 6 inch duct.
When I got it home and wired it up (single phase 220 V) the motor would not work (just hummed), On closer inspection I discovered, I think, that it has a three phase motor. The label is worn but I believe the information is as follows:
Motore ASINCRONO TRIFASE
TIPO 80
GIRL al 1' 3300
HP 1.5
V 220 380
Hz 60
A 4.6 2.7
Servizio S1
Does this translate into 3 phase 60 Hz 220 volt 1.5 HO 3300 rpm motor?
If so, do I have any options to make it run on my small a single phase 220 circuit in the garage or should I just consider it a sunk cost?
