I made the frame from scraps around the shop. The mirror came from Michaels 2 for $1.29, It is made of purple heart , African blackwood, I'm not sure what the other backing of the mirror is made of. It looks nice and cuts like butter.

Now Bob, if you are going to make us all look bad then we'll have to have a little meeting. Next thing ya know we'll all be having to make the wives one of those.

Actually, that isn't such a bad idea! You did a wonderful job on those scraps and I'll bet she is really going to like it! :)

The place where the handle meets the mirror surround looks like a stress point to me. How did you attach the parts?

I drilled both components and inserted a fitted post of purple heart and superglued all three together. It seems to be very strong. It won't get much abuse, my wife treasures all the pitiful attempts that come from my workshop.
