Looking at a set of Stanley 750 Chisels a local woodworker wants to get rid of for "a reasonable offer". 6 chisels - 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1", and 1 1/4. All have original handles, almost full cutting length, pretty decent condition with no rust, but do need some work to be ready for use. No problem I can't handle there though. I've heard a lot of good about the Stanley 750s, and was wondering what a reasonable offer would be for them.

Thanks,

Dave

Depending on the condition bottom end would be around $125 and top end would be around $200 for 6 very nice 750's. In the condition you mention maybe $150 ballpark ? its really hard to say without looking at them.

It should be less than a set on lie Neilsens unless you are just collecting

Hi Dave,

If you have an ebay account you can log in, Click on advanced search, choose compleated listings only and it will bring up the listings I think for the last 30 days.

If you don't have an account it is free to sign up.

OK, thanks for the help everybody! We settled on a price of $140, and I'm happy with that. I checked ebay like you suggested, Charles. The set I got is in much better condition than any recently sold on ebay, which sold for at least $150.

That's good price. I've averaged 20.00-25.00 a piece on E-bay. A gloat for sure.;)
