Hello,

I'm looking to get a grinding jig for sharpening my tools and am stuck on weather I want the Sorby setup or the Wolvering setup. Does anybody have experience with the Sorby jig that can tell me its ease of use? Plenty of people around here have the wolverine jig so I have plenty of feedback on that system but I know of nobody with the sorby setup.

Hi Adam, I have a Sorby. It is a copy of the Tormek jig and works very well.

I think both are good jigs. Frankly, all of them work on the same principles. Take a look at mine over on http://aroundthewoods.com/sharpening01.html
for a guide on making one. It will do everything the others will and cost under (way under) $5.00. It is well worth the half hour to make especially as it will take that long to set up either of the others anyway.
