Ya know...it's funny. If you stare at the interface between the bulb and the lower finial/icicle....It looks like they are barely connected. So delicate! Ok...maybe I'm just an idiot.:o
But nevertheless...they are gorgeous. Nicely done...to both of you.:)

Thanks Guys.

I found out turning ornaments are allot of fun and it's nice to work on something together with my daughter. It's tough when they are teenagers.

John, I'm glad you noticed that, I was hoping someone would. The thinest point on the finials are close to a 1/16". Right where they connect, I make a light cut with a skew (long point down) to give it that sharp edge.

Well, I saw it at a glance, but then a glance down here in the south could take a minute or two whereas a stare... well that'd be a day or two.

Those are very nice Ron, and your daughter did a great job too.

Terrific job on the turning and your daughter must be a professional. Lovely. Will look great on the tree or a stand.

I really like that design, and the painting adds to it. Very nice. Is the ball portion hollow? I need to try these someday.
